The Unica’s journey begins on the southern edge of one of the best-preserved Karst plateaus, the confluence of the Pivka and Malenščica. It winds its way across the Planinsko polje valley and offers exceptional fishing conditions. Between autumn and late spring, The Unica floods the valley, providing lush reserves of food to its fish population. This river is most famous for Grayling, but with a lot of patience, the Rainbow and Marble Trout can also be caught in its waters.
