Description of Predator fishing on Lake Bled

Lake Bled is of tectonic glacial origin and lies at an altitude of 475 meters above sea level. It’s 2120 m long, 1380 m wide, and has an area of ​​1.45 km2. The lake’s deepest point is 30 m and its average annual temperature is 12 °C, reaching up to 25 ° C in July. there are several species of predator fish swimming in the lake and amongst them, some really old, big, giant fish. You can catch Wels Catfish of more than 2 meters in length, Pike, Zander, Perch and even a Lake Trout.

Fishing starts in the morning and lasts until the evening when predators are very active. Your guide will supply you with all the necessary information and tips for catching the most fish and take you to the most promising spots.Throughout the day, the guide will be available to assist you and provide you with additional information, taking photos of your catch and between a few brakes serve you food and drinks. In case you would want to try fishing from a boat, your guide will also help you with that.

It is important that your clothes are comfortable. It is recommended that you also have some warmer and windproof clothing with you as temperature can drop or in case of cold wind. You can always leave excess clothes in the van after consulting with our guide.

Bring enough water, some snacks and sunscreen or other sun protection. You can also bring trekking poles if you are used to them.

What in case of bad weather?

Even though Slovenia is small, it has quite diverse climate, so it is not unusual that there is nice weather somewhere else. In that case, you will be kindly suggested a different tour where the weather will be nice. If offered alternative tour doesn’t suit you or if the weather is not suitable for hiking, you will receive a full refund if you have already prepaid our tour.

Am I fit enough?

The tour is flexible and it can be adjusted to your preferences, skills and fitness. Nevertheless, you should be comfortable having a 3-hour hike on a moderate terrain.

Is the tour kid friendly?

Children are also welcomed on the tour. Children should be able to hike for a few hours with breaks. If you are planning to go on a tour with young kids, please let us know in advance and we can adjust the tour if necessary.

in case of bigger groups you will be accompanied by 2 or more guides.

What happens in case of bad weather?

In case of bad weather, especially rain, when the rivers are
flooding, we choose another similar destination where fishing is possible.

You can bring any piece of equipment you want, but we also provide
complete gear in case you don't bring anything or you need to borrow something.
