Lake Bled is of tectonic glacial origin and lies at an altitude of 475 meters above sea level. It’s 2120 m long, 1380 m wide, and has an area of 1.45 km2. The lake’s deepest point is 30 m and its average annual temperature is 12 °C, reaching up to 25 ° C in July. The Carp population has been swimming in Lake Bled for ages, but in recent years the fish have been growing faster than ever. In autumn, a good number of fish can be found in excess of 30 kg. Lake Bled has one of the biggest populations of Carp that weigh over 20 kg.
Fishing starts in the morning and lasts until the evening when predators are very active. Your guide will supply you with all the necessary information and tips for catching the most fish and take you to the most promising spots.Throughout the day, the guide will be available to assist you and provide you with additional information, taking photos of your catch and between a few brakes serve you food and drinks. In case you would want to fish from a boat, your guide will also help you with that. Your targeted species will be Catfish, Pike and Xander, but you can also reel in a large Lake Trout in the process.
