Waters in Slovenia
Thanks to the county’s unique geographical disposition, Slovenia has an abundance of clean watercourses and numerous mountain and lowland lakes, both natural and artificial. Its 12,000 hectares of water surfaces contain very widespread and diverse populations of fish. The fact that there are 200 to 400 kg of fish per hectare of water is a great indicator that fishing in Slovenia’s 500 fishing districts is above average in quality, to say the least. And the natural environment is spellbinding.
