Idrijca

This beautiful green river is a fisherman’s treasure-trove. Although brown Trout is the predominant species in the Idrijca, the Rainbow Trout is known to show up as well. In its lower areas, connecting with the Soča, the Grayling can be fished. The Marble Trout is rare, but if you do happen to catch one in this area, it will almost certainly be prize-worthy. Idrijca’s water levels are suitable throughout the season, making it one of the most fishing-friendly rivers in Slovenia, suitable for beginners and pros.
