The largest glacial lake in Slovenia is not only an incredibly beautiful tourist trap, Lake Bohinj also has an enviable population of Lake Trout, which is mainly caught from boats. besides very common residents, Taimen and Grayling, the lake’s depths are home to burbot, while its shores offer us the Perch. Other autochthonous lake species include Eelpout and an impressive number of 9 species of Bleak. A true lakeside fishing paradise.
Your fishing adventure begins in the early morning hours. Together with our local guide, you will visit the spots that most certainly hold fish, as the lake is so big that you won’t be able to fish on every promising spot. Amongst your targeted species will be the Lake Trout, Brown Trout and the elusive Grayling. You will be given a few breaks for food and refreshments and admire this beautiful Alpine environment. The fishing trip can last all day or half a day, depending on your preference.
