Lake Bled is of tectonic glacial origin and lies at an altitude of 475 meters above sea level. It’s 2120 m long, 1380 m wide, and has an area of 1.45 km2. The lake’s deepest point is 30 m and its average annual temperature is 12 °C, reaching up to 25 ° C in July. The Carp population has been swimming in Lake Bled for ages, but in recent years the fish have been growing faster than ever. In autumn, a good number of fish can be found in excess of 30 kg. Lake Bled has one of the biggest populations of Carp that weigh over 20 kg.
Fishing starts one hour before sunrise and lasts until 11 pm. Since the best places are quickly taken, it’s the guide’s job to reserve a fishing spot and hold it until your arrival. The guide also shows you the right techniques, prepares everything you need for fishing, and helps you tidy up after. In case you need additional tips, your guide is always available nearby. Since fish are best caught in the morning and i evening, it’s crucial that you persist until the very end, as fish have a tendency to bite minutes before 11 pm. For multiple-day fishing trips, accommodations are reserved near the lake, where you can rest up for fresh battles with a massive Carp.
