This crystal clear, glacial stream emerges near Triglav, Slovenia’s highest peak. Its upper course is much too small for fish, but from its first dam downwards, the red-dotted brown Trout appears, signalling the start of the fishing area. The Radovna, which carves its way through the famous Vintgar Gorge until joins Sava Dolinka, is an exceptional fly-fishing destination. Due to its low temperature, the Trout don’t grow to amazing sizes, but the diverse and picturesque landscape make the river into a surreal fishing experience.
